Asheville

Asheville, North Carolina is the most magical town. I completely enjoyed every minute of my trip. There was so much to see and do and everything was so unique and beautiful. My sorority sister and I drove down to visit another sister who is getting married in May! It was so good to catch up and the drive was easy.

Friday night we walked around downtown Asheville, saw the infamous drum circle, had some great beers then boarded the LaZoom tour bus and got to see all the "haunted" places in Asheville. We did almost get into a fight because of these older drunk ladies who sat behind us. Later that night the tour guide said they were the most obnoxious people he's ever dealt with. Figures. We had my fav, Mellow Mushroom--I wish we had some up north! I also learned why Asheville is "Beer City USA."

Saturday was filled with shopping and relaxing in and eating P.F. Changs. Sunday we went to see the wedding site at Lake Lure, bridesmaid dress shopping, wine tasting at The Biltmore, and had dinner at the Bier Garden. We found the most perfect dress, I bought four bottles of wine, and beat 3 boys in the basketball shoot out game with a high score of 74! So, I'd say it was a successful night.

The weekend went too fast, but it was filled with lots of laughs, amazing street music, smiles, good drinks, great food and lots of storytelling and memory re-living. It was perfect. See you in May, Asheville!

What's Happening.

I've been all over the place lately. Summer is almost over, so that means two more weekends of work! Can I get a Hallelujah. I never thought I'd actually wait for the day that summer is over. I've always love fall the best, but who really wishes for summer to end?! Even with all the events, I've managed to clear some time for life--fun, family and friends. Here's whats been going on via my iPhone:
1. Day at the zoo. The lions were non-stop fighting and roaring!
2. With my favorite animal, the polar bear!
3. A beautiful couple on their wedding day.
4. With my precious baby cousin, Caden.
5. Night out at the Pirate game.

Picture-Perfect Wedding.

My cousin Lauren got married on Friday! I spent most of my weekend doing wedding things and I didn’t mind one bit. She married her wonderful husband at the Succop Conservancy in Butler, PA—a bit north of Pittsburgh.

It was honestly the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen or been a part of. It was so romantic, classic and magical, exactly what a wedding should be. The bridesmaids got ready in the old house on the land and the ceremony was right outside the front door. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour after the ceremony before heading over to the pavilion for the reception.

Our bridesmaid’s dresses were a dark lilac and had different details of lace on each one. Lauren’s gown was strapless and looked as if it was vintage—but it wasn’t! She looked absolutely stunning.

The wedding was perfect! Congratulations again to Lauren and Tyler (who are currently in Punta Cana enjoying their honeymoon). Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
