I threw a little party for Kev's 25th birthday--and had so much fun decorating the house. I think I spent a total of $2 on the decorations. My family came over for an early dinner, then after they left Kev's friends showed up and he was completely surprised! I made some sangria, bought his favorite beer, and made some yummy appetizers. I'd say it was a success!
I spent a year of my life traveling the country, now I'm back home in Pittsburgh working as an event planner, living life and learning how to be a grown-up!

Sister's Baby Shower II
Baby's other aunt, Aunt Amanda, threw Megan the most amazing shower in her backyard. It was bright, creative, and there were cute duckies everywhere! Tons of family and friends came out to continue to shower Megan and baby with love and support. The weather was beautiful, food was delicious, and everyone had a great time!

Sissy's Baby Shower
My sister’s baby shower was a
couple weeks ago. I’ve been planning for it for months and once the date came
it felt like it came out of nowhere! We had it at a great local restaurant down
the street from our house—and
went with the theme “Ready to Pop!” It turned out to be even better than I
imagined. Megan had over 70 friends and family there to help her celebrate this
little baby blessing. I made most of the decorations—and every
thing else was bought at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn’s and Five Below. One of my
favorite parts was the popcorn bar. The popcorn was from Pittsburgh Popcorn Company
in the Strip District and it was easily the best popcorn any of us ever had.
I bought her a Red Rider wagon and
filled it with over 60 children’s books, a mix of classics and my favorites, a
onesie that says “Lil Pierogi,” and a “Mommy to Be Hospital Survival Kit.” Plus
a gift from her niece, Chloe, aka my cat. She went out all by herself and
bought baby tons of outfits with cute kitties on them!
Being surrounded by all these
people reminded me how lucky I am to have the family and friends that I do.
Many of the people said it was the best shower they’ve been to! Uh, wow, what a
compliment J Most importantly, I think
my sister really enjoyed it—I
know I did!

Lauren's Bridal Shower
My cousin's bridal shower was this past Sunday at Hoffstot's Cafe Monaco
in Oakmont. It was absolutely beautiful. I feel like I've been working on it forever,
and the day finally came and it all came together and looked perfect!
Everyone was talking about how amazing the room looked, the food was delicious,
the games were fun and most importantly, Lauren had an awesome time!
I made a lot of the things to save some money--and I was so pleased with how it looked!

Classy & simple--just the way we wanted it!
