Terrain

Have you ever visited Terrain? I stumbled across it the other day and since then I can't stop going back. I haven't purchased anything yet but I have my eye on a few things. I love the simplicity, yet unique and beautiful colors of many of the items. Gardening has always had a special place in my heart and there are some amazing outdoor items on the site. Here are a few of my favorites:
Engraved Vines Copper Cocotte
Floating Wall Terrarium
Starburst Mirror
Jadeite Cake Stand
Patchouli Powder Box Candle
United States Chalkboard Map

Lyric Chrysoprase Necklace
Be sure to check out their blog, The Bulletin, for ideas, inspiration and easy DIY projects.

Mother of Pearl

This title kind of makes me giggle a bit. When my sister and I were younger, we used to joke with my mom and call her "Mother of Pearl." At the time I had no idea what that even was. I actually only became a fan of mother of pearl a couple years ago. I found this beautiful, simple bracelet in my room one day, and started wearing it non-stop. I never really thought anything of it--like where it came from--until I mentioned it to my mom while we were in DC last summer. She couldn't believe I was wearing it because it had been her bracelet from when she was young! It has a silver bottom and is filled with the iridescent mother of pearl--commonly from oysters and other mollusks. Here are some other "mother of pearl" inspired things that I'm loving:

Not On The High Street

NotOnTheHighStreet.com is one of the best sites ever.
It is run by two lovely ladies out of the UK
& features all kinds of unique and inspiring treasures
from a wide variety of sellers.

Lots of the merchandise can be personalized--
the prints, jewelry, signs, etc. can all get your name on it.

I'm a little obsessed with the site.
I think the fact that it's run out of the UK has a lot to do with it.
My love for all things British really shines when I'm browsing the site.
I love when I come across a sign that says
"mummy," "favourite," or "knickers."
The British are just so cute.

Here are some of my favourite items:
This Autumn Bracelet.
A personalized crate for your garden.
A simple name necklace.
Danish Design letters.
Personalied House Portrait--perfect for your first home!
Rock limestone typographic art-perfect for the ultimate music fan.
Map art--you pick the city or country.
Chalkboard labels--all shapes and sizes.
Be sure to check out the site. The prices are reasonable--
even with the shipping costs to the US!
